We had a lovely dinner with Patty and Sean Pybus last night at Lanterns, our favourite Indian restaurant.
Sean is based (for the moment) in Bahrain but is on the move back to the States. Patty came all the way from Bolivia (after winning an airline ticket!) to Bahrain to help her husband pack house and move. Their next station will be California.
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting them and what we thought might be a 90 minute dinner engagement turned out to 3 hours!
I hope that you will have lovely memories of Bahrain. And Patty, as you’ve been to Bahrain and haven’t been to the Tree of Life, as the legend goes, you WILL come back to these isles and you will be more than welcome.

Ma’a Al-Salamah Patty, the world is small and I’m fairly certain we’ll meet face-to-face again, if not, then virtually here. Regardless, both of us enjoyed your company and wouldn’t hesitate to repeat the experience again.

And, I forgot to thank you for making me appear so nice…..you and I know the real reason I was here was shopping! None of this “helping her husband move”…t’was shopping, shopping, and shopping!!! Up until the last minute even!!! Just came home from purchasing my last rug! (a beautiful Isfahan)
