More infamy in the spotlight

The Guardian has picked up on the webmasters’ arrests, our parliament’s obsession with Bluetooth and the Ministry of Information’s administrative order requiring websites to register with them.

Anyone in government care about these subjects making international headlines?

    More infamy in the spotlight

It was surprising waking up this morning to see an email from one of my privacy lecturers with The Guardian’s article!

I know that it’s a shame such proposals are hitting international headlines, but I guess this will just put more pressure on the government and MPs to drop them, or find alternative routes to correct/mitigate any risks/problems they perceive.

I’m currently looking into the possibility of conducting research into this area; I want to come up with constructive criticism instead of simply venting, and hopefully practical recommendations. The section you’ve presented is one starting point for me, but I still haven’t looked into the feasibility of this.

Is this bringing flashbacks Mahmood? 😀 Hehehe if so, I just hope they’re not as bad as the vertigo you’ve been experiencing!

if any of you have any suggestions regarding what issues need to be addressed, drop me an email (using the form in the members’ area).

Suggest you do a Google query for “toothing.” It was a prank/hoax about Bluetooth that a couple of mischievous kids dreamt up.
