Xaraya 1.0 is almost out of the door and into the wild. In preparation for the first full release of Xaraya, the engine that runs this and almost all of my other sites, has announced a competition with good prizes for themers, graphic artists and closet programmers to work on themes so that they may be included in the official release of Xaraya.
I threw a spanner in the works by sponsoring the “Bidirectional Multilanguage Theme Award” which, yes you guessed it, for the best theme that implements right-to-left and left-to-right page orientation.
John Cox has put up an excellent explanation and tutorial on how to achieve this programatically.
We’ll see what comes out in the next 30 or so days. I’m really excited about this!
