    Happy New Year 1427

579 years to go before we catch up to 2006! Don’t mind the time lag we have over here in Islamaville, but I’m cracking up a cold beer hoping that some day we’ll discover penicillin. Hey! America is discovered in 65 years!

    Happy New Year 1427

“Happy” new year? Yeah the 1st of Muharram is the happiest day of the year.

    😀

Yes I know, we revel in sadness, rather than happiness. Happy occasions are generally “sinful” by some.

But wait till you see the Shi’a holidays superimposed on the Hijra calendar which a friend sent me (thanks again Sam), you would be amazed at the amount of commemorations, as compared to the very very few celebrations.

I’ll convert it to html and upload it here later.
