Just too tired at the moment to post some more pictures, but I’ll hopefully choose a couple of car pictures and upload them to my Flickr Album soon… tea? Can anyone get me some tea to relax please? It was hot, sticky and hectic today at the BIC but meeting all these lovely people, seeing two Bahraini drivers qualify in the top 10 on a crowded grid was a pure joy.
You should make plans to come tomorrow, or you’ll miss a whole load of adrenaline!

Need your advice on something: I’ve got roaming tickets (these are national day roaming tickets) for the finals tomorrow and am just wondering if you’ve got any ideas on what sectors of the BIC, these tickets get me access into? Also am game for your blogger xmas pressies – how’d i get to where you’re at? (I’ve lost your # in the rush of things :()
Also – has a date/place been set for the Bahrain bloggers meetup in Jan? there are a couple of visiting bloggers, currently in Bahrain that I’d like to bring along 🙂 And.. could we all start making use of upcoming.org and confirm via that?

I believe you can access flickr from the UAE through hidemyass.com or just add the following to flickr’s url and it should work i believe:
http://flickr.com.nyud.net:8090/
the nyud url might be a bit slow – but you should be able to browse flickr at the least 😉

T’was a blast at the circuit today 🙂 Apart from Mahmood’s lovely blogger stickers and getting my mug shot taken by him – the bike stunts and the race was simply awesome! Lots of wheelies, 5 crashes, too bad that during the bmw race the #18 couldn’t continue the race due to being hit on the track after skidding 🙁
The mini-cooper challenge was really fine – Bahrain at the top there! Kudos to the pit n grid marshalls for a fantastic job – dangerous task during lap 6 yet went fine without any more accidents 🙂 One of the pole bearers fainted I believe before the start of the race.. but apart from that the weather was swell!

She fainted because the twit donated blood this morning and didn’t tell anyone about it. So in the heat, her blood pressure dropped and she fainted. The medics were quick on the case and I’m told she’s okay now.

The roaming tickets give you access to the main grandstand, oasis stand and the paddock area (where there a lots of games and food outlets etc.) Yesterday when I was wondering around (towards the end of the day) I could see into the pits which was cool.
