Sometimes benefit the herbs in the treatment of cancer, especially in some cases, have experimented with these types of treatments in the United States of America as well the European countries and the Middle East, many of us have heard stories about people who have experienced this kind of treatment, and they have cured cancer, how are unknown, but healing has been completed. It was one of the patients specialist hospital in Riyadh had cancer and her family traveled to the Grand Mosque in Mecca and drank Zamzam water and washed, by the hope that heal, God willing, and where the miracle happened when she comes back to her doctor and after tests found that the cancer had disappeared. This may be for some people a form of imagination, but this is repeated with many patients. So no harm in engaging treatment of herbs and Zamzam water, in addition to the treatment agreed with the cancer doctor should be involved in order to follow your doctor is the condition and how it can contribute to this type of treatment in reducing the spread of disease or recovery, whether in early or advanced .
Sorry, I couldn’t bother properly translating this tripe.
Did you notice that the whole thing is built on “sources” peppered with plenty of “maybes” that you might as well change the “Zamzam” water with “Whiskey” or even “Margadoosh” and the end result won’t be much different.
And for this to actually be printed in a national paper, taking more than half a page as well, demonstrates what a backward society this is, at least as far as science and technology are concerned.
Judging by the scientific output level that the Arab and Muslim world combined enjoys, and the number of “scientists” we are privileged to the presence of and of course the plethora of university graduate equivalents, we’re a-okay!

It’s interesting that they print that, considering the authorities and the medics here have a hard time accepting much other (more established) healing methods such as homeopathy, acupuncture, and even nutrition. It took them more than 2 years to accept my UK nutrition license and give me a Bahraini equivalent!

Don’t tell me that you believe in the above, do you?
In the above article you wrote about, no.
In my own cancer article, of course
http://aliaalmoayed.wordpress.com/2010/02/10/cancer-answer/
Hmmm, I don’t know man, I’m a bit torn here. This is all new knowledge to me. I mean, if my Mom had a recurrence of her Breast Cancer, do I tell her to drink “Zamzam Water†as per the Al Waqt article, or go for a routine of “Coffee enemas” and a diet consisting of “raw calf’s liver” as prescribed by Gerson? It’s a tough choice, I know!

Sorry Alia, ask my wife, I am extremely sceptical about non-medical/non-scientific cures.
She says I’ve got a serious “House” syndrome.
Alia Almoayed,
The following is a quote from your article published in the weekly rag that comes free with the GDN subscription:
“When your body gets cancer, it is not deficient in chemotherapy chemicals. That’s not what it wants. Nor is it trying to get rid of an organ through surgery. It is looking for healing; it is looking for a refill of nutrients; it is looking for love and care. Sadly, none of these options are offered in today’s medical system.”
I don’t see why they can’t publish what they did, if you get coverage in the GDN. Both articles are ridiculous.
Mahmood,
There’s an immense amount of anecdotal evidence for cancers healing without modern Western medical intervention. The best cure seems to be a dramatic change of lifestyle. Even the most orthodox and stale Western sawbones will allude to the power of positive thinking when faced with the spectre of cancer.
Today’s medical system seems to be biased towards costly and complex medical treatments that carry their own dangers. Documented successes with simple and cheap cures, like certain vitamin therapies and placebic treatments often go ignored.
Aspirin was first discovered within the Indian Aryuvedic pharmacopia. The herb it was extracted from is called “Serpentine” if my memory serves me well.
A lot of people are poisoned by radio therapy or chemotherapy. It’s dangerous stuff – look at the hazardous material labels all over the packaging.
Also, Google ‘Codex Alimentarius’ for a dose of paranoia about how governments and drug companies want to limit our access to vitamins, supplements and herbal medicine.

Herbs and other extracts and basic chemistry contributed to modern medical treatments to be sure, and I believe that positive thinking is a powerful and real aspect of well-being, my concern – and scepticism – is borne out of “cures” such as what the article above alludes to. They take this too far and some un-discerning minds take that unsubstantiated rubbish as gospel to the point where they refuse “proper” medical treatment and base their cure on nothing more than a wish.
My position is that if it’s not scientifically proven, or a proper research into whatever cure is not undertaken, I tend to either discard it completely or hold on to my scepticism in that it can provide a cure.
yet another brain fart! and the world will be cured..
when our media feeds ppl minds with that shit though i don’t think it needs any emphasis what will be come of our superstitious.. voodoo.. black magic etc society.. go figure!
The most disturbing to me is when people seek herbalist who give them medicines that are actually poisonous. This has happened with some ‘Chinese’ medicine vendors and consumers (I don’t think it’s real Chinese medicine, but there you go).
Also, there are unscrupulous ‘religious figures’ who sell bits of paper with ‘special Quranic verses’ on them that will ‘heal’ a specified ailment. Blasphemy, surely?
OH THANK GOD!! Some one else on this God forsaken island that doesn’t believe in magical remedies! I’m seriously considering having a facebook cull of all my friends who keep posting links to websites talking about how wonderful homeopathy is, how you can cure paralysis with acupuncture, how the government is putting flouride in the water in a sinister plot to dumb down the population. Do you know what they call alternative medicine that works? Medicine.
Alternative medicine has either not been proved to work, or been proved not to work.
I think it is appalling that people prey on the sick and dying by promising them that these cheap tricks will work, it is so morally wrong I don’t know where to begin. And I fear for the future of this country as all my friends who are running around talking about these remedies are young, educated Mothers who should really have worked out how to use their brains by now. I’m telling you, we are doomed.
Ill beg to differ on this.
Im a keen believer in the power and effectiveness of herbal medicine. I believe the reason why people tend to dismiss herbal remedies is because in most cases herbal remedies take longer to be effective whereas mainstream western medicine is usually instant albeit with usual side-effects.
Long live the herb.
Of course herbal medicines work! For instance, the bark of the willow tree is what makes asprin, one of the wonders of modern medicine. I have difficulty believing that tiny amounts of somethings diluted in massive amounts of water can ever do anything to the human body though. So in homeopathy, water allegedly has memory, and although it can remember the tiny drop of arnica put in it, it somehow forgets all the urine that’s been in it.
Mahmood, you’re so right to denounce these quack cures like Zamzam water for cancer. Obviously, these could never work. What could these people be thinking, the poor deluded souls. What you should be using is water from Lourdes blessed by the holy apparition of the Virgin Mary. I just happen to have a small supply of the same which I can sell you for $29.95 for a three ounce bottle which is enough to treat ten gallons of water for your personal consumption. However, I don’t have much so hurry your order before I run out. Please send the cash (no checks, US currency only please) to Steve the American; Dewey, Cheatham, & Howe Industries; Washington, DC, USA.

Ah, but I have another one for the hordes which they should appreciate. I have a limited supply of one-way tickets to Heaven. As I am an Alawi (Double Sayed for the uninitiated), I have a direct path and guarantee to the Pearly gates.
I’m selling these for a mere $1.2 million for Class A, US$800k for Class B and just US$100k for Class C.
Of course I am so certain of these that I offer a FULL refund, no questions asked, should they not work.
Now stand in queue and don’t shove please. Sharpen those credit cards (which carry a surplus of 3%).
Pay no attention to those overpriced Alawi tickets to heaven. Buy my Lourdes Holy Water and you can not only drink it to cure all your ills but you can baptize yourself to become Catholic, thus guaranteeing your direct ascent to heaven when you die. I’ve arranged with the Almighty for those who have the foresight to use my product to get VIP treatment, first class seats on the winged chariot to heaven plus no waiting on arrival. While the other poor sinners are in line to have their sins examined, you will be escorted to a lovely, soft cloud where you will be entertained by a choir of angels. All that for $29.95 while supplies last.

I sense a global war happening here.. so why not just band our resources together and take over the world?!
Much more fun.
Mahmood,
